Our Mission:
We want everyone in our generation to be informed about the events of 9/11. At that time many of us were too young to remember what happened and others weren't born at all. We think it's very important for them to know how serious the events of 9/11 were and how it truly impacted not only our country but the whole world. We want them to see how our country eventually persevered and recovered from this event. This topic is very important because some of the younger generations make jokes about this tragic event and it is our goal to open their eyes so they can take this more seriously.
Our Goal is to express our feelings about 9/11 as a digital memorial through social media as a global experience. For example, moments of silence through Tiktok, and Instagram could be a place to share stories from the family victims to talk about their lost loved ones through social media. For example, we can create Snapchat filters with important information about the 9/11 Memorial site. We can also add a virtual reality tour that is a 360 degrees, panorama view of the memorial site. At this time there are social media outlets such as Instagram, Facebook, and even Tiktok who have made some 911 hashtags, and written/oral stories of known victims. But our goal is to show the younger generation the tragedy and how it truly affected America and how this eventually led to the monument being built.
We want to honor the people who lived in New York during this tragedy who are the most aware of the event, but for those who either lived outside of the U.S or were not born yet may not understand the depth of this tragedy. Our goal is to bring awareness and more knowledge to the historical event so that it is taken seriously and educate those who may not have insight on this. We can involve more younger people working at the monument in order to educate the international tourists visiting the memorial. This may include incorporating details of the event and what the monument represents or by personalizing the monuments with dedications to the individual victims such as flowers, so that it humanizes the monument and highlights its significant impact. Our trailer will help expand on this idea and help us reach a bigger audience.
